MARTIN EMPTY BOWLS celebrates 17 years of fighting hunger one bowl at a time.
Empty Bowls, an international project to fight hunger, celebrates 17 years in Martin, Tennessee on Sunday, November 22nd, 2020. Started in 2003 as an effort to support the We Care Ministries, Inc. food bank, each year UT Martin fine art professor David McBeth and volunteers made up of students and alumni create hundreds of ceramic bowls for the event. These bowls are given as a “Thank You” to individuals who donate to the Empty Bowls project.
Empty Bowls Martin Tennessee will be an online event only this year. Online “sales”
will begin, Sunday, November 15th at 12 p.m. through Friday, November 20th at 5 p.m.
Curbside pick-up of bowls will be Sunday, November 22nd, from 12 pm. until 3 p.m.
Each soup bowl will be available for a $15 donation to the event and larger cracker/serving bowls will be available for a $20 donation.
All donations will be presented to the We Care Ministries, Inc. in Martin, TN to support
their hunger relief efforts.
